Insulinoma is one of them. It’s a type of pancreas tumor that usually occurs when the blood sugar level rises in the body.
It damages the pancreas, producing more insulin than the body requires resulting in excessive sweating, weakness, fast heartbeat, and even coma.
Dental Problems:
Strawberries are exceptionally high in sugar. Since ferrets eat meat-based diets, their teeth are also sensitive to sugar.
When ferrets eat sugar regularly, it is likely to damage their teeth and cause various problems like cavities, tooth decay, and so on.
So, for their dental hygiene, it’s important to keep sugary treats out of their reach. Instead, feed bones; they are not only an excellent source of calcium but also a good exercise for their teeth.
Can Ferrets Eat Strawberries As A Treat?
